Discovery Childcare and Education’s Bush Kinder Program offers children a unique, hands-on learning experience in nature. • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Ongoing Professional Development: Regular training in child safety, inclusive learning practices, and the latest teaching strategies.

At Discovery Childcare and Education, we prioritize healthy eating and ensure every child enjoys balanced, nutritious meals throughout their day. Our dedicated Nutrition and Wellness Advisor, Sharonne Desperles, plays a key role in designing, auditing, and overseeing our meal plans. With a strong background in child nutrition, Sharonne ensures that all menus meet dietary needs and align with child-safe standards.

Our Approach to Nutrition:
Carefully Designed Menus: Sharonne creates menus that are age-appropriate, balanced, and tasty, catering to children’s developmental and nutritional needs.
Dietary Accommodations: We can accommodate specific dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences to ensure every child can participate fully in meal times.
Daily Healthy Options: Meals include fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats to fuel your child’s active learning and growth.
Wellness Education: Sharonne integrates wellness education into the program, helping children develop a positive relationship with food.

Our focus is not just on meals but on teaching children healthy eating habits from an early age, creating positive associations with nutrition in a fun and supportive environment.

At Discovery Childcare and Education, we value clear, open communication with parents to ensure you stay connected with your child’s daily experiences. We use an online platform to record important details about your child’s day, including:

• Meals: What your child ate, when they ate and how much they ate.
• Nap Times: Times and duration of sleep to track rest patterns.
• Bottle/Feeding Times: When and how much was consumed.
• Nappy Changes: How often and what type of movement
• Incidents, illnesses and accidents: via phone and via the app.
• Daily Group Highlights: A brief overview of the group’s activities, interactions, and learning moments.

For more personalised information about your child’s experience, we encourage you to connect directly with your child’s educator at drop-off or pick-up. Our educators are always happy to chat and share insights into how your child is adjusting, learning, and exploring each day. We aim to keep parents well-informed and part of their child’s learning journey.
